Knit Your Bit

Knit Your Bit with us at Southeast Linn Community Center!
We were looking for a charity knit that could reach beyond our community and thought this could work to bring crafters together for a good cause. When my dad was drafted into the army during World War II, my mom and grandmother learned to knit so they could make socks and scarves for soldiers. Most of of us have family stories of military service at home and abroad and the sacrifices made during wartime.
Join SELCC and Lisbon Library on Thursday mornings starting September 1 from 10:00-11:00 AM while we knit and crochet scarves for veterans. We’ll have supplies (needles, hooks, yarn and patterns) available--as well as coffee and snacks--or you are welcome to bring your own.
