Mark your calendar for the Summer Reading Program kickoff party at Hills Bank in Mount Vernon on Tuesday, May 24 from 5 - 6:30 PM!  There will be fun, food and activities based on our summer reading theme, Read Beyond the Beaten Path.  Kids can get signed up, pick up their reading/activity logs and find out what the library has planned for summer.  All are welcome at this free event.  If you can't come to the party, come by the library and get signed up starting May 25. 

Literacy activities like story time and library visits give children a head start in learning to read, and reading gives them a head start in life!
